Versus XIII Not on Hold After All?
kula shakerz    2008-06-19, 17:21 pm.

Good news to all of you who are looking forward to Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Square Enix has gone out and debunked recent rumors about the game being put on hold until Final Fantasy XIII was ready.

According to them the truth of the situation is that when free, some staff from the Versus team have been helping with the XIII team on development of Final Fantasy XIII. Development for both titles is continuing as originally scheduled.

This new statement contradicts what Testuya Nomura said in the latest issue of Famitsu so I guess only time will tell.

Hmm... This all sounds a little suspicious. I hate to add to the already over-hyped theories, but maybe there's a secret project in the works? Even if there isn't, they need to get their stories straight.

does a happy dance ...Nomura-san lied?? lol...no maybe more a 'misunderstanding' then anything ;)

Great, so Nomura's just a d-bag...What else is new? >_>

Anyways, from the sounds of it, things should actually be going FASTER...maybe it was a translation blip or something...shrugs Hopefully when they're done with all this XIII mess, they'll get to a more deserving series...CHRONO PLZ!!!

That's what they get for releasing multiple FF games at once. They have a hard time handling the load that they resort to cancelling any games announced. Good to know they're still continuing with the works in versus XIII but they should ready some demo already for FFXIII for the upcoming E3.

Uh, I don't think SE is with E3 anymore, are they? I thought when everyone split from E3, that SE was one of them that made their own thing...?

A question just hit me, why make 3 games at once when you can make one very successful game? Especially since making 3 will make work slower, and less chance of a good result (imo). If they put all their work and energy into one title, the results would be beyond amazing (going by Square standards, hint VII hint.) That's my opinion. Anyway, according to Gamestop Versus said release is December this year, anyone know anything about this? I was surprised.

FFXV PS4 Slim Incoming

There was some speculation that FINAL FANTASY XV’s delay from September to November may have been related to Sony’s as-of-then-unannounced hardware, the PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim. While the additional development time has yielded significant improvements to FINAL FANTASY XV, the whole situation is still a bit suspicious. Sony and Square Enix have announced a Limited Deluxe Edition Final Fantasy...
