Lightning Returns Demo + Amazon DLC

Square Enix would very much like you to know that Lightning Returns is coming out soon and, to really drive the point home, they've released a demo of the game to PSN and Xbox Live. This follows on the heels of last week's unboxing of the North American Collector's Edition and the recently completed "Inside the Square" development documentaries. Per Square Enix:

The demo puts players in control of Lightning as she traverses the chaos-infested Yusnaan palace of her old ally, Snow. Players will experience Lightning’s new customization options and master the game’s completely overhauled battle system. For those who activate the Outerworld services and submit their battle scores of the final fight against Zaltys, the ‘Siegfried’ outfit will be unlocked in the full retail game.

In addition, those who download the PSN demo will also receive an exclusive DLC set, featuring the Utsusemi Garb:

As a special bonus, players who download the PlayStation®Network demo will automatically receive the Utsusemi Garb DLC, which includes the Heavenly Fan weapon and the Kaminari (meaning “Lightning” in Japanese) shield item. The DLC pack will download with the demo and will be unlocked in the full retail game on February 11. The DLC pack will also be available to purchase for other customers later this year.

Square is on the offensive as far as exclusive DLC goes and they've even partnered with Amazon to offer the Spira's Summoner Garb as an exclusive preorder bonus:

Starting today, Amazon pre-order customers will receive free ‘Spira’s Summoner’ content for download, uniting two of FINAL FANTASY’s leading female characters by equipping Lightning with Yuna’s iconic outfit, staff and victory pose from FINAL FANTASY X.

Square Enix wants you to buy this game; so much, in fact, they're throwing free electronic clothing at you to seal the deal. Lightning Returns will be out on February 11 in North America and February 14 in Europe.

Am I the only one who doesn't like exclusive preorder DLC? It's ok if you get the same thing everywhere but when each store gets its own exclusive DLC then it sucks.

Cool. I'll download it when I get home.

@Vivi: Yeah I agree. Exclusive DLC sucks.
