The first promotional video for the upcoming mobile game Mevius Final Fantasy has debuted on Square Enix's Japanese Youtube page. The video features gameplay of the story's protagonist in combat, changing through jobs, and engaged in exploration. It's the first Final Fantasy game for uniquely developed for mobile devices that will attempt to mimic the experience of a console entry; retelling the mythology of the series for a new market segment.

At the game's official website Yoshinori Kitase writes, "We're crafting a full-scale, high-quality RPG the likes of which has never been seen on smartphones and tablets." There's also a gallery of artwork, screenshots, and renders from the upcoming game. There's been no mention of a western release yet.
