Directed by Tetsuya Nomura, the visionaries behind Advent Children and the Kingdom Hearts series, Final Fantasy Versus XIII represents an alternate and independent story within the Fabula Nova Crystallis universe, sharing with Agito and XIII the mythos of the crystals.
Versus will focus on a young man, the last of a ruling dynasty, struggling to keep the crystal within his control against an army of enemies. The plot will focus upon the struggle of the protagonist to keep control of the crystals in the waning age of civilization.
Yoko Shimomura, the woman behind the Kingdom Hearts official soundtracks, will compose the score to Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
