Dawn of Mana Release news and Soundtrack

Though IGN is claiming a March 31st 2007 release date for this entry, Square’s tight-lipped policy about this high-profile first true Mana sequel has left few queries answered. But for now, fans can rest easy knowing that Square has registered the title in the United States.

Though little information is known about the next installment of the Mana franchise in this hemisphere; its soundtrack, Seiken Densetsu 4: Dawn of Mana Original Soundtrack -Sanctuary- was released on January 24.

The main theme was composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto while the additional tracks were largely composed by Kenji Ito ("Mana," "Romancing Saga" series) and Tsuyoshi Sekito ("Brave Fencer Musashi"), with Junya Nakano ("Final Fantasy X," "Dew Prism," "Brave Fencer Musashi 2") contributing as well.

From the audio demonstrations found at the game’s portal for the franchise’s main site, this soundtrack collection exudes potential to be one of the finest works of Square Enix’s compositional teams yet. You can check out SD4 here, and hit the Trailers link on the left.

At four disks, this collector’s set runs to over a hundred tracks, and a copy will cost you $40.00 USD.
