According to IGN.com, the "Director's Cut" version of Star Ocean III will make its way to North America on August 01, 2004. The game will not be referred to as "Director's Cut" but by its original title. The Director's Cut version fixes all the bugs of the original, adds two new characters (Mirages Coast and Adlai Lasbird), adds two new scenes (Underwater guards and Urza Skirt temple dungeon), adds a new versus mode, and finally a new item creation system.
