It looks like Square Enix will begin the beta testing of Front Mission Online this summer. The game will allow players to fight mech battles alone or in groups. Group battles in the PlayOnline based PlayStation 2 and PC title will be similar to the one found in their MMORPG couterparts, as multiple players can join together to form a platoon.

Front Mission Online will be released in Japan sometime next year.
