Images from the new Final Fantasy XI expansion, "Treasures of Aht Urhgan," have finally been released to the public at the Tokyo Game Show 2005 (September 16-18). Square Enix will soon release more details and there will also be a preview available on the official site.

The new expansion takes place in a land called Mindartia, in the Near East. It is the homeland of the Mithra before they travelled and settled in Kazham. It is still unknown whether or not a new continent or island will be added but its very likely since the new land is supposed to be south of Kazham.

It also seems like they have added a new job, the Blue Mage. More details will be added as soon as we get them.
