Square Enix Announces First Fantasy Earth Beta Test

Square Enix recently revealed that the application period for participating in the closed beta testing phase of its MMORPG Fantasy Earth: Ring of Dominion will begin on September 26th. The company has yet to announce when exactly the beta testing phase for the PC-based title will begin, though. Those who want to apply are required to possess a computer with the following specs: Pentium 4 1.3GHz and above, 512 MB of main memory, more than 3 GB of free hard disc space, a Direct X8.1-compatible video card with at least 64MB VRAM and a 300kbps internet connection. Square Enix however recommends a CPU of Pentium 4 with 2GHz or higher, at least 1GB of main memory and video card with 128MB of video RAM.

Square Enix has announced that their upcoming MMORPG Fantasy Earth: The Ring of Dominion will land on Japanese PCs on February 23, 2006. Fantasy Earth will carry an "open price", meaning it has no static retail price. Still no release dates for Europe or North America.
