The Gelnika is located in the alcove underwater and directly west of he underwater Mako Reactor, as you may have guessed this area can only be reached with the Submarine. The Gelnika is a very dangerous area as it's filled with Shinra freak beasts, but it's also very rewarding in terms of EXP and useful items. In the entrance area you'll find a save point (it's a good idea to use it).
Ok, lets move on. Enter the door on the right side, this is the generator room, here you'll find the Conformer and Double Cut materia, both are very useful later in the game. Head back to the save point when you have picked them up. Now head for the cargo room, here you'll find some nice items, the Hades Summon Materia and Cid's Limit Break. This is also a very nice place for earning some EXP.
