Square's ticket sales are in the for the 2007 fiscal year and it did well, but not as hot as last year. Overall, profits were down 20% from last year, without sales of super-mega blockbusters like Final Fantasy XII to bolster the ranks. Across the board, except for Europe, numbers were down: Square sold 3.79 million games in 2007 (down from 6.15 million in 2006). The overall importance of the Japanese audience increased from representing 43% of the company's sales to 52% With 2007's numbers in, Square Enix President Yoichi Wada's focus on expansion into Western markets will likely become even more integral to the company's growth and success in the coming year.
