Tokyo Gigante Numero Tres

Hey, it just never ends for those Japanese folk in Tokyo, does it? Well, along with the flood of other information accompanying Crisis Core, Versus XIII, Revenant Wings, Agito XIII and It's A Wonderful World, Square Enix has announced a few other projects at their theater at the Tokyo Game Show. Chief among them, which I entire overlooked this morning, (or evening, depending on whereever you live) is the Director's Cut for Advent Children, and a remake of the game boy game Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, which at this point has been titled Kingdom Hearts: Re:chain of Memories.

Kingdom Hearts: Re:chain of Memories

The middle-child in the KH series is getting a makeover, apart of the growing remake trend displayed by Square Enix as of late. The game will incorporate the trademark card based battle system (which seems to be on its way to Agito XIII), but also hints at traditional button battles. This remake will include areas not seen before in the original Chain of Memories, and will hopefully bridge the gap between KHI and KHII for those of us without GBAs.

Thanks to Clubby for this magnificent find.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

The blu-ray successor to the DVD release is said to include some new scenes previously unknown in the release versions; including Sephiroth impaling Cloud (whether in a flashback or near the end of Advent Children was unclear), and hopefully more elaboration on Advent Children's complex and stringy plot. The trailer indicated a release in Japan in 2007, giving Sony time to gauge the success of the PS3 (which has a blu-ray player built in) before pledging a certain number of copies.

If you're wondering when I'll stop, the answer is I have no idea. The TGS coverage consumes me; it is my soul, and I shall continue this divine calling until the show concludes, or the world ends. Whichever comes first.
