In a Press Release today at PR Newswire, Square Enix announced the release dates aimed at four games, all for hand held consoles. First on the list was Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, which will be releasing in Europe and North America simultaneously on October 9, 2007. The War of the Lions is a remake of the 1997 PS1 game Final Fantasy Tactics, exclusively for the PSP.
Following shortly thereafter is Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings for the Nintendo DS, hitting the market on November 20, 2007, just in time for the winter holidays. Revenant Wings is the sequel to 2006's Final Fantasy XII for the PS2.
The original Front Mission, which released in 1995 and undortunately never made it to either European or North American shelves will reach stores on October 23, 2007 as a remake for the Nintendo DS.
Seiken Densetsu: March of Heroes will be available on August 14, 2007 also for the Nintendo DS. March of Heroes is a prequel to Seiken Densetsu, and like the War of the Lions, it is a tactical RPG.
Lastly, Square Enix divulged a few new tidbits on its official store, slated to open for North America this summer, commenting that "figures and merchandise from popular franchises such as DRAGON QUEST, FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN(TM), FINAL FANTASY XII, KINGDOM HEARTS, as well as online exclusive items will be available for purchase."
