The official website of the Gaming Developers' Conference has revealed that four Square Enix staff members will be speaking at the conference this year.

One of them was quoted saying that "the new game engine will be used for FINAL FANTASY XIII, a new MMORPG currently under development, and other titles in the future".

The use of the White Engine pretty much confirms that the new MMORPG will be released for the Sony PlayStation 3.

The 2008 GDC is taking place in San Francisco from the 18th February to the 22nd.

Might pick this one up if it turns out to be true. I hope its more casual than Final Fantasy XI though since that game required way too much time just to level up.
