Last week was the first week in many that a Square game did not reside in the Top 10. Since the release of Kingdom Hearts, not a week had gone by without at least one Square game in the Top 10. However, a rush of new titles, and naturally declining demand, has forced Square games like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy XI to the lower part of the list.
Kingdom Hearts was #12 for the week, with 8,332 in sales. It dropped down eight spots from the previous week, and the total sales are at 758,939. Final Fantasy XI continued to drop for the second week in a row, landing at #17 with sales of only 6,023. This is six spots lower than last week's major drop, and the total stands at 89,688.
Square had mentioned earlier in the week that more PS2BB units would be released this week, as well as more copies of the game. They only plan on shipping copies when there are available PS2BB units to go with them. Finally, at the bottom of the list, Nichibeikan Japan-US Pro Baseball Final League dropped twenty-one spots to #49, with sales 1,793. Total sales only stand at 63,731.
