Square Looking To Acquire Eidos

Eidos is the latest developer to be caught in a tug of war for it's services. As it stands, the company is being sought after by powerhouses Warner Bros., EA and Ubisoft.

But let's add one more contender to the fray. SquareEnix is reportedly also interested in acquiring the US based studio, most famous for it's Tomb Raider franchise.

While analysts expect Warner Bros. to escape the fray as the victor, some say SQEX will, at the very least, attempt to acquire some of the company's individual brands as their own.

it's funny that this comes up. eidos made ff7 playable in pc form. wonder if this will in any way lead to more deals with microsoft.
