Tactics Ogre Reboot...Headed By Yasumi Matsuno?!

In news absolutely no one expected, SquareEnix are working on a PSP reboot of Tactics Ogre, subtitled Wheel of Fate. Which is great news in itself...but then they told us a little more.

The original team for the SNES classic is being reunited, including Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy Tactics & Final Fantasy XII Director Yasumi Matsuno, who left the company towards the end of FFXII's development due to illness.

As for the game itself, it will be an entirely new beast from the original. All the additions and changes to the scenario are being made by Matsuno himself. The devs also promise new elements and modernizations such as improved battles, re-worked battle strategies, more characters per battle and new job classes.

Graphically, the game is receiving a slight overhaul from its SNES days, but the goal is to stay true to the original style, with the staff noting they would "actually be proud if people would say that it's the same as the original."

A great game being remade, a great talent returning to work. I like it. Anywho, scans below~
