Secret Project In Development With US Studio

SquareEnix have disclosed a new yet secretive project at a place not normally known for such announcements, the CESA Developer's Conference in Yokohama.

Yosuke Shokawa (Director, Dissidia: Final Fantasy) and Yuki Matsuzawa (Concept Artist, Final Fantasy XIII) will fulfill the same roles on this new project, which is being developed at an unnamed American studio.

Both men discussed how important they feel it is to let the development team help with the creative process, instead of handing them orders from above without discussion or input, a stark change from design decisions in the past.

With all this in mind, however, their presentation also mentions that this title is at least 16 months away from release. No other details - including plot, genre or console - were discussed~

I hope this ends up being Final Fantasy: Fortress! http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Fortress

Fortress is still in development, but not at a US studio.

Ah, ok. I wasn't sure what they did with it after that one development company went out of business.

If this secret project could only be the sequel/prequel to Legend of Dragoon I would literally crap my pants. Just like when the new Metal Gear trailer from E3 showed. All us Dragoon fans can hope!!!
