XIII-2 Arrives on Steam

PC gamers who have yet to experience the second title in the Final Fantasy XIII series are getting another chance to play the second installment in the polarizing trilogy. On Friday, Square Enix released Final Fantasy XIII-2 on Steam, where it joins the original Final Fantasy XIII as a downloadable title. Unlike its older sibling, Final Fantasy XIII-2 includes DLC, customizable graphics options, and runs at 60 FPS.

Final Fantasy XIII—which originally debuted on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010—was released on Steam to critical and technical chagrin back in October. That title received a healthy update last week that included customizable graphics options and higher resolutions.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, the concluding title in the trilogy, is also slated for an eventual PC release via Steam, but Square Enix hasn't committed to an official date just yet.
