The iOS port of the PC port of Final Fantasy VII has begun its debut on the iOS App Store. Primed for iPad and iPhone, this edition is very much the same as previous PC releases in the last few months. While the game has yet to hit the North American iOS App Store it has already launched on the New Zealand store—likely suggesting a wider release within the next few hours.
TouchArcade is estimating that North American iOS users should see the game hit around 8PM PST/11PM EST and they have an awesome recap of the game's system requirements. Namely, users will need at least 4GB of available space on newer-ish iOS devices running iOS 8 or later.
It'll be interesting to see how Final Fantasy VII translates to the world of retina displays, smartphones/tablets, and touch controls.
