In an announcement made today out of Square Enix Japan, the voice actors for the upcoming Action RPG Drakengard (known as Drag-On Dragoon in Nippon) were officially announced. Sporting eight actors in all, the amount of vocal interaction is expected to be pretty heavy, and by the time the game sees a Japanese release this September it's possible that it could equal Final Fantasy X in terms of "minutes of audio".
I was happy to perform the voices for Drag-On Dragoon because of how powerful the story is," said Shinnosuke "Peter" Ikehata (the voice of Kaimu). "The duality of the roles, the bond between the man and his dragon -- especially since this is the year of the dragon -- made everything feel like it was coming together in the best possibly way. I have a real soft spot in my heart for this material."

There hasn't been any confirmation from Square Enix U.S.A. as of yet concerning whether or not the vocalists from the Japanese version will be kept for the domestic release. But given the company's history, it is likely that American actors will replace them when the time comes. Stay tuned to IGN for more on Drakengard in the coming months.
