Square Enix has updated the official website for its upcoming PlayStation 2 action RPG Drag-on Dragoon (Drakengard). With the recent update, several new characters were unveiled. First is Ynuart, the rider of the Dark Dragon. Originally a childhood friend of both Caim and his sister Furies, he is also the son of the Empire's ruling elites, which invaded Caim's kingdom. He relies heavily on his fiancee Furies and even as she becomes the Goddess and their relationship crumbles, he remains stubbornly on her side. Verdelet is a 72-year old head priest capable of communicating with the Goddess. While he is usually acting as a model clergyman, who only enumerates good deeds, he tends to be a self-serving egoist in dire situations.
The cast is completed by 24-year old female elf by the name of Arioch and six year old Seere. Drag-on Dragoon will be available in Japan on September 11th for 6,800 yen (57.06USD), with the US version (titled Drakengard, remember?) following suit in early 2004.
