Jump Festa 2004 Footages
Ikuzo    2003-12-20, 15:14 pm.

Thanks again to Quiter, a Japanese gaming news site, for uploading movies of the latest footages of Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. The footages were shown at Jump Festa 2004 yesterday.

Final Fantasy XII footage was roughly about seven minutes long, containing scenes of the new and the old. The highlight of the footage was Balflear's facial expressions and the gameplay sequences. What the footage emphasised the most was the ability to rotate the camera as you walk around a field. Unfortunately, the movie has no sound because the audio was outputted through headphones, but if you listen closely you can hear some sound coming from the headphones.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children footage was about 2 minutes long. It doesn't contain much of the new scenes that was recently revealed in the Japanese magazines. The highlight of this footage is the dialogues. I've translated the dialogues below for your understanding pleasures:

Man: "I hear you're living with the orphans... Wouldn't you want to bring back the smiles on those children? Our final purpose, Cloud, is the worlds reconstruction..."

Cloud: "I don't think I can save anyone's life. Not a family, not a friend... no one."

Female: "'I don't care if I die', is that what you're thinking?"

Man: "There's a lifestream in all of us. Flowing through our veins, fighting the wicked that enters our body."

Cloud: "I promised myself that I'll live the life you couldn't live... But..."

Female: "He's going to fight, alone..."

Little Girl: "No! I want to see Cloud!"

Man: "They seem to have obtained the Jenova's head..."

Man: "Reunion! ...You're feeling the same thing, aren't you?"

Cloud: "I think I want to be forgiven. No... I know I want to be..."

Female: "Did we... lose to our memories?"
