JUNKMETAL will end its open beta test on April 5 so that it can get ready to provide the real services to gamers on April 12, 2004. Users from the beta test can transfer their account and character data to the real game. The game will cost consumers around 1,200 JPY per month which can be paid by Credit Card or web money.

The game allows you to customize your own robot and enjoy fighting with it in full 3D environments. You can join one of two sides and fight alongside friends as you take on the opposing team. On April 22, a special limited edition package of JUNKMETAL will be made available. It will contain a special controller, a special book, and a private account which keeps records of your robot, its equipment and much more.

JUNKMETAL is exclusive to the PC, and the special edition package will sell for 7,140 JPY in Japan. No announcement has been made thus far about its release in North America and Europe.
