New DQ GBA title + latest DQ5 sales figures

Square Enix has announced the developement of a new Dragon Quest title for the GameBoy Advance. It will be called Dragon Quest: Torneko NO Daiboken 3 Advance. The game will be a remake of the PlayStation 2 version that hit Japan on October 31, 2002. This new title is expected to release in Japan on June 24, 2004 for 6,279 JPY.

The new GBA title will be very similar to the PlayStation 2 version in terms of gameplay, but will contain a few new additions of its own. The monster companion system will be included in this title allowing gamers to choose sidekicks from the 180 monsters in the game.

In related news, Media Create has stated that as of March 28, Dragon Quest V has sold 1,117,006 copies in Japan. This amount is higher than a previous estimate showing DQ5 just under the million mark.
