Square Enix has revealed new details on the upcoming Final Fantasy XI expansion Chains of Promathia. Two new areas have been added, Pso'Xja, an underground ruin system and Attowha Chasm, an arid land that makes up eastern Aragoneu.
Two new non playable characters will also play an important role in the storyline of this new expansion. One of them is character that goes by the name Prishe. The elvaan girl is raised by the Cardinal of San D'Oria and studies theology. The other one is a young boy that appears out of nowhere and speaks little.
Chains of Promathia is named after the "God of Twilight" who is said to have bound himself in chains. The new storyline should give more insight into this primal force in Vana'diel.
The expansion should be released at the same time in both Japan and North America. The release is currently set for this fall.
