According to Square Enix's magazine, Gangan, a movie is in the works for the anime Full Metal Alchemist. The film will be released in Japan during the Summer of 2005. It is still unclear as to whether the movie will be based on parts of the anime, the magna, the games, or have a whole new story of its own. The Gangan mentions however that further details will be released in its next issue.

The next Full Metal Alchemist PS2 game is set to release in Japan September 22, 2004 and the original one is intended to release in North America come Spring 2005. The Anime is expected to air in North America this October on the Cartoon Network.
