If you are a true Final Fantasy fan, you'd know that Hironobu Sakaguchi was the very creator of the series. Recently, however, he'd been keeping a low profile after the failure of Final Fantasy in hollywood. Just what has he been up to all these years?! Well, setting up a new development company of course!

Domain name - www.mistwalker.co.jp - was registered on 14th May 2001, followed by the registeration of Mist Walker on United States Patent and Trademark Office in 25th May 2001. The Owner points at a Japanese address in Tokyo, and the trademark registered in the field of computer games and the likes. Even a logo can be found in the United States Patent and Trademark Office database.

According to a discussion thread on 2ch, Mist Walker was established by Hironobu Sakaguchi. It focuses on developing games, especially RPG, with the hopes of collaborating with major designers, namingly Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk), Kiyoshi Shigematsu and the return of Yoshitaka Amano. You can expect to see movements in Mist Walker when the next generation consoles start to make it's way out of their caves.
