Square Enix has revealed that the company will show a special preview edition of its upcoming CGI movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children during the Venice International Film Festival that takes place from September 1st to September 11th. The trailer of the 70-minute long sequel to Square Enix's best selling PlayStation One title Final Fantasy VII will be part of the newly established Venezia Digitale category, which has been set up to showcase digitally created feature-length movies.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will be available in Japan for DVD and the PlayStation Portable's UMD format sometime later this year. Release dates for Europe and North America are currently unavailable.
