The latest issue of Electronic Gaming monthly reports that the North American Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children release will be delayed because Sony Pictures wants to release it this coming holiday season.
Even though rumors to this effect have been quite heavy, Square Enix has not yet mentioned anything pertaining to a theatrical release of Advent Children in the U.S., though they have hinted that one-off promotional events in major markets are a possibility.
When Advent Children is released this holiday season, it will be in both UMD and DVD format, with the DVD version being a 2-disc "Special Edition" version. The special edition will contain extras you would normally expect, like bonus and behind-the-scenes features.
