Square Enix has announced a delay in the beta test program for Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus. The beta program, originally set to kick off on September 1st, has now been postponed to an indefinite date.
As reason for the delay, Square Enix stated that during final preparations for the beta test, it was determined that the game program was in need of some fine tuning. Had the beta test started with the game in its current form, the company would not have been able to fully utilize the beta testers.
Dirge of Cerberus, while primarily an Offline, single-player game, includes an Online battle mode that promises support for up to twenty simultaneous players. The game was recently listed as being 60% complete.
