Square Enix has published more images and information on their upcoming PS2 action/adventure title, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII. The game's Japanese release date has now also been confirmed as being January 26, 2006 and will sell for 8,190 JPY.

In related news, it has been revealed that J-Pop star, Gackt, will be performing two songs for Dirge of Cerberus which include the main theme song "Redemption" and yet another track called "Longing". Gackt will also have a small role in the game, where Square Enix will be using a new technique that combines CGI and filmed live action to put him in the game. His outfit will also be designed by Tetsuya Nomura, other details about his character are still unknown.

The official release date of Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus in Europe is finally confirmed. Its not the 3rd November as previously announced but Friday 17th of November.
