In the year 1000 A.D, a teenage swordsman, Crono resides in the village of Truce. With the dawn of the century at hand, Crono speeds to Leene Square to enjoy the festivities of the Millennial Fair. A mysterious device sets Crono's destiny in motion when his newfound friend, Marle, is unexpectedly thrown into the time-stream by an experimental teleportation device.
Gathering his courage, Crono sets out on a quest to rescue the young princess, unaware his true fate is to save the planet from the mysterious and powerfull being known only as Lavos.
Crono must seek allies from the past, present and future to discover the truth behind Lavos for the sake of all known existense and reality.
