For any Final Fantasy haters out there, beware. Once the formidable game franchise sets a hungry pair of eyes upon you, there is no escape. An Arizona, USA man was arrested this week for stealing a credit card, and subsequently buying up videogame themed action figures over the internet.

A Mesa man was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of stealing his grandmother's credit card to buy thousands of dollars worth of video game-themed figurines. Mesa Police said 18-year old Lance Seaman was contacted by the arresting officer while at a hotel on the 6300 block of Southern Avenue and agreed to be interviewed at the police station. According to the police report, Seaman confessed to stealing his grandmother's computer and camcorder back on May 17 and later pawned them for $200. Seaman told police he had access to grandmother's credit card and admitted to using it with out her permission online to purchase $10,087.83 worth of merchandise from video game Web sites, according to police. Police said they seized twenty boxes Final Fantasy figurines as evidence from Seaman's bedroom before placing him under arrest.

Final Fantasy, ruining lives through addiction everywhere.
