FF Tactics Advance Update

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance will have summons that players of the Final Fantasy series are familiar with. Ifrit, Shiva and Ramuh will be in the game. Not all character classes in the game will be able to summon these beasts though. Only the Summoner job class can summon them.

There are only 3 job classes available at the start of the game. The player will have to get new job classes during the course of the game. To make more classes available, items that give the character new abilities will have to be equiped and raised to master level. Only then will the new job classes be available. Various job classes will also be restricted to only certain races. [Eg. Summoner job is exclusive to the Viera race.]

Square has also revealed new classes which will be making an appearance in the game:

Mystic Knight: ability to combine spells with swords - magic sword techniques. Effective against most opponents. Atelier: able to use any item in battle. Summoner: summon sacred beasts. Geomancer: able to use elemental attacks dependent on the surrounding areas.

Additional story information about Final Fantasy Tactics Advance has revealed that the little brother, Doridas, of the main character, Marche, has made his way into the Final Fantasy world. His personality has had a drastic change from the real world. While he is usually weak and nervous, now in the "book world" that is Final Fantasy, he is a dangerous man wanted man whom the government wants to apprehend.
