Not Going Anywhere Yet

On our own boards, as well as across the web, users a reported that a personal blog of an HR employee at Square Enix posted: "I think some amongst you will know, but FF11 started in 2002 … Well, this year it’ll end and the stage will shift to FF14." Nobody likes that idea—not least of all are the players of Final Fantasy XI.

Head-honcho at Square, Yoichi Wada, posted this statement on his Twitter account: "There seems to be a rumor that FFXI is ending, but if that was done, we'd be in trouble."

So there you have it; if Square Enix is planning to kill Final Fantasy XI, then they're going to be all sneaky about it like a knife in the back.

Yoichi Wada needs to get back to f*cking work. He's always on Twitter.
