At last year's e3, SquareEnix promised that Final Fantasy XIV will release in 2010. As it stands, they were half right.
The PC Edition of FFXIV will be available in two versions, and on two different dates: Sept. 23rd for the Collector's Edition and Sept. 30th for the Standard Edition. The game's monthly fee will be the same as FFXI, $15USD per month.
The PC Collector's Edition will feature a behind the scenes DVD and will be free to play for 30 days. CE purchasers will also gain an Onion Knight helmet for their characters, and those who preorder will receive an item that will increase the speed of their character's progress.
As for PS3 owners, your wait is a bit longer, as the game will not release on the console until March 2011. Good news for PC, bad news for PS3~
