Square Enix's long anticipated HD remaster of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 has been dated for release on PS3 worldwide! Eager fans in North America will be able to return to Spira on March 18, followed by their European compatriots on March 21, 2014.
Prior to finalizing the date, Square Enix flirted with a generic "winter 2013" window that ultimately became next Spring. No official date was set for the PS Vita editions of the remasters, on which each title with be released individually.
Gamers disappointed by the unexpected delay will be delighted to know that both games will arrive with their respective "international" edition content: including new bosses, remastered audio, and exclusive stories that never made it to North America.
Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster will be released in Japan on December 26, 2013.
