Square has announced that they will begin the beta testing if the PC version of Final Fantasy XI. This will be starting on Tuesday, June 18th. The beta testers will be playing on a different server from the PlayStation 2 gamers. The game will still have the mail, chat, and messanger services run through the PS2 servers.
When the game is officially released, it will run off the same servers as the PS2 version. This will allow PC and PS2 users to team up. Accounts created on one platform may also be used on the other platform. assuming you own the game for both.
