More FF: Crystal Chronicles details

Akitoshi Kawazu revealed more details regarding Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles in an recent interview. Joining Kawazu is veteran director/producer Kazuhiko Aoki, character designer Itahana, and composer Kumi Tanioka, who last worked on Final Fantasy XI's soundtrack.

Players in the single-player mode will be able to use a standard GameCube controller or a Game Boy Advanced. While in the multiplayer mode you will need a GBA since the a map, the enemy status and other information will be displayed on it's screen. Players will be able to combine their magic abilities. The storyline will stay the same in both modes.

The game will be mission based, where the player will get items after successfully completing a mission. Summons and CGI movies we are used to from the main Final Fantasy series will not be featured in the game. The game will last for about 30 hours. More information will probably be released during this years E3.

Nintendo's Wii is soon to play host to yet another Crystal Chronicles title in the Final Fantasy franchise. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Little King and the Promised Land/Country of Promise will debut as a title on Wii Ware, the download service for the console. Square Enix released Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles in North America on February 9, 2004. Commercials for the title have been airing consistently on North American TV stations.
