FFXI: Another Bug

It should come as no surprise that Square has discovered yet another bug in Final Fantasy XI. There are apparently some places in the game where, due to the geography, players can battle enemies and avoid all return attacks. Square has not said if this can be done against any significantly powerful monsters, but considering their urgency on correcting the issue one must suspect that it does.

Square's punishment for players who have made use of this glitch is unusually harsh. Considering the error was entirely on Square's part, one may expect either no reprimand or a simple level setback. Instead players exploiting the bug face character and account deletion, and even banishment from PlayOnline.
