Square Enix is currently negotiating with an unnamed Korean game publisher to release its online games service (PlayOnline) and also the MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI, in that country. Executives from Square Enix have been visiting Korea with hopes on sealing the deal sometimes in the near future.
Going into the Korean market, MMORPGs have been extremely popular. Square Enix's move could be a very fruitful decision especially since the rather recent debut of the PS2 in Korea.
