Square Enix's first GameCube title Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles has recorded sales of 193,569 copies in the first four days since its August 8th release in Japan. Other RPGs posted good results as well, with Banpresto's Summon Night 3 selling 148,033 copies, Super Robot Taisen D for GameBoy Advance 133,020 copies and DigiCube's Ys I and II Eternal Story for PlayStation 2 (standard version only) 22,525 copies.

Nintendo's Wii is soon to play host to yet another Crystal Chronicles title in the Final Fantasy franchise. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Little King and the Promised Land/Country of Promise will debut as a title on Wii Ware, the download service for the console. Square Enix released Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles in North America on February 9, 2004. Commercials for the title have been airing consistently on North American TV stations.
