The makers of Front Mission (Square Enix's Production Team #6) have stated some ideas they have for the future of the series. They intend to update the websites of pervious Front Mission games and put up a message board from which customers can give their feedbacks and opinions. They also intend to add Wanzers from Front Mission 4 into their FM Trading Arts line-up (action figures). The team asked fans to be patient for the release of Front Mission Online (expected release in Japan, Spring 2004) and that they would announce beta testing for it in the near future. Finally, they mentioned how the series was not over and that more titles were being planned.
In related news, Square Enix USA has confirmed Front Mission 4 to release sometime in June 2004. The game was released in Japan on December 18, where upon it sold 230,000 copies in total.

Square Enix USA has shipped Front Mission 4 for PlayStation 2 to retail stores in North America. The fourth installment in the popular tactical mech series, developed by Toshirou Tsuchida's sixth development team, was released in Japan last December, selling 240,000 copies to date. Front Mission 4 carries a suggested retail price of $49.99 US.
