The people at Square Enix are organizing an event titled Summerfest for gamers in the world of Vana'diel. The extravaganza is expected to take place from July 23 to August 8, 2004. In this time, Players will have special access to buying fireworks which they can use to help brighten the black night sky. Moogles will also be carrying out a little event of their own where in you can win wonderful items.

Players can enjoy the sights and sounds of this Summer event at the following locations (19:00 to 6:00 Vana'diel time):

14. Western Altepa Desert

15. Eastern Altepa Desert
16. Rabao
