Square Enix has announced that their upcoming title Final Fantasy XI will be available for play for attendees of the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, which runs from August 19th-22nd. For the very first time European gamers will be given the opportunity to experience for themselves exactly what has made the title so successful in North America and Japan, boasting an online community of over 500,000 registered users and 1.2 million active characters.
Final Fantasy XI, which will begin shipping to Europe on September 16th, will be available for players within the NGL Gaming Arena at the Convention. Square Enix will create characters created specifically for the show, and gamers will be able to explore some of the fantastic areas within the vast world of Vana'diel.
In addition, Square Enix will be making a presentation on the main stage in the NGL Arena on Thursday, August 19th, at 14:35 to show off some of the great features of the game. Square Enix will also take this opportunity to reveal a brand new trailer, containing footage taken from the all-new Chains of Promathia expansion pack, which will be included in the European release.
