In the recent issue of Famitsu Weekly, a four page article on the upcoming Drakengard 2 revealed a new character and a bit of new information. As previously reported, the game picks up 18 years after Caim's exploits in the first Drakengard. The heroes this time around are Nove, a young man who can speak with the Dragon known as Legna, and a now grown up Mana.
The two main characters are now joined by Urich, a masked man said to have made a pact with the God of Death. Judging from the screens it appears Nove and Urich will be allies, and that Urich will be playable at some point in the story.
Also, an intriguing new skill was spotted in the battle menus shown in the images. Under the commands for the Dragon is a new skill called Dragon Overdrive, which one can only assume would be similar to the Limit Breaks in the Final Fantasy Series.
