Square Enix president Youichi Wada recently mentioned that he would like to release Dragon Quest VIII as soon as possible in North America. Provided the Level 5-developed title turns out to be a success, Square Enix will consider bringing related products to the North American market. Hence, Wada placed a major emphasis on the release, saying a successful launch would have a major impact.

He also said that both Final Fantasy XII and Kingdom Hearts II are expected to be available in Japan sometime this year.
