Final Fantasy XI Moves To The XBox360

Square-Enix announced yesterday at it's Pre-E3 Conference that Final Fantasy XI: Online will be heading over to Microsoft and it's newest console, XBox360, when it release later this year. The game will be available on the company's XBox Live program, and although pricing was not announced, it is expected to be the same as the standard PC and PS2 rates.

“As we move forward with our cross-platform strategy to bring our titles to more gamers in multiple formats, we are extremely excited to launch our popular MMORPG on the XBox360 and look forward to this collaboration with Microsoft,” said Yoichi Wada, president of Square Enix. “The XBox360 provides a powerful platform from which gamers can be immersed in the spell-binding Final Fantasy XI story that comes to life through collaborative online game play.”
