Although there was much speculation that Square's first Final Fantasy for the GameCube, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle, would make its official debut at this year's Tokyo Game Show, the game was unfortunately nowhere to be found not even on video or in company pamphlets.
Nintendo apparently didn't want to have it shown at TGS because the company doesn't showcase its titles at the event (it usually opts to demonstrate new wares at its own SpaceWorld shows instead). And as you may or may not know, Nintendo is the publisher of FF: Crystal Chronicle in Japan so they can do that.

Nintendo's Wii is soon to play host to yet another Crystal Chronicles title in the Final Fantasy franchise. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Little King and the Promised Land/Country of Promise will debut as a title on Wii Ware, the download service for the console. You can check out the trailer here!

Square Enix released Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles in North America on February 9, 2004. Commercials for the title have been airing consistently on North American TV stations.
